Split bolt line taps
It is a type of electrical connector, typically made from brass, that is used to connect or “tap” into an existing electrical conductor by clamping onto it with a split, screw-like mechanism, effectively creating a branch point for a new wire.
- Split bolt line taps are available for use with aluminum and copper conductors.
- The grips are designed such that it can accept a range of conductor diameter and still provide effective grip under load conditions
- Pressure pad available as serrated or plain though serrated is recommended.
- Insulation shrouds are also available if required.
